Beaches around Poreč: choose your stretch of coast
A beach day from Rakovci can be as simple as one good swim and lunch by the sea. Poreč's coast offers pebbles, rock and paved sunbathing areas, often within the same beach. Choose the actual sea entrance and facilities that suit your group, rather than expecting a long sandy shoreline. Here are five places to investigate.
01
Brulo: mixed surfaces and trees
South of Poreč, Brulo combines pebble, rock, paved and grassy areas, backed by pine, cypress and oak trees. It is a useful starting point if your group wants a choice of places to sit and different ways into the water. Walk along the bay before settling down so you can select a suitable entrance.
The tourist board lists showers, food and drink, activities, facilities for disabled visitors and a designated pet section. Treat these as features to check for your visit, not a promise that every service will be operating on every date. Dogs belong in the designated area; follow the signs on site.

02
Bellevue in Plava Laguna: rock and stone platforms
Bellevue is mainly rocky, with levelled stone platforms, paved approach paths and arranged entries into the sea. Consider it if your ideal beach day involves sunbathing on rock or platforms in a resort-coast setting. It is not a sandy beach.
Choose the entry point before laying out towels, especially with children or anyone unsure on steps or uneven rock. Parking near hotels may have its own access conditions and charges. Check local signs and arrangements rather than assuming that nearby hotel facilities are included for all visitors.

03
Delfin in Zelena Laguna: a resort-coast outing
The beach by Hotel Delfin has pebble, rocky and paved sections on an oak-covered peninsula. Sea access includes pebble entries and steps. It offers a different base for a coastal day from walking around the old town.
The official profile lists the beach for families and couples and says pets are not allowed. Check the current signs and seasonal services when you arrive. Do not rely on old published lifeguard hours or assume all rental equipment and facilities operate outside the main season.

04
Town Beach: a useful family and access shortlist
Gradsko kupalište, between the marina and Brulo, combines pebble, paved and rocky sections. The official description includes gentler pebble entries, steps, a slip and adapted access, with a pine-shaded walking route and nearby places for food and drink.
This makes it worth investigating for a family visit or a particular mobility need. A listed ramp does not establish that every part of a beach is accessible or that assistance is available. Confirm the exact route from parking to the water and any equipment you need with the tourist board before travelling. The official profile does not permit pets.

Below Valamar Parentino: another option to check
The town beach below Valamar Parentino has a pebbled sunbathing area and sea-entry facilities including a ramp. The tourist board also lists showers, parasols and a beach bar. It is another place to investigate if the type of sea entrance matters more than simply finding the nearest shoreline.
Be careful with the name when navigating: Parentino is different from Hotel Parentium in Zelena Laguna. Use the map link below and confirm the location before setting off. As elsewhere, seasonal opening, rental prices, parking and the availability of access facilities should be checked for your day.

Plan your visit
- Pack water shoes, drinking water, sun protection and towels. Inspect the sea entrance before choosing your spot.
- For gentler pebble access, investigate Town Beach; for mixed surfaces and trees, start with Brulo; for rock and platforms, consider Bellevue.
- Check weather, sea conditions, parking and seasonal services before leaving Rakovci. Do not assume hotel parking or equipment is free.
- For dogs, use clearly designated pet areas. For mobility requirements, confirm the complete access route and any needed assistance in advance.
Are these sandy beaches?
These suggestions are mainly pebble, rock and paved beaches. Surfaces and sea entrances can change along the same stretch of coast, so choose the specific spot that suits you.
Which beach is wheelchair accessible?
The tourist board describes adapted access at some beaches, including Town Beach and a ramp below Parentino. Confirm the precise facilities, route and assistance you need before planning your visit; we cannot guarantee complete accessibility.
Can we return to the villa for lunch or a pool afternoon?
You can plan a shorter coastal outing and return to your own pool in Rakovci. Check the live route and parking arrangements rather than relying on a fixed journey time.
